About
Online Real Estate 101 was founded in December 2009 as an experimental way for industry experts to share what they know and for the online real estate community to build off of that. Though it started off as an experiment, there are no theories presented here. Everything shared or taught on ORE 101 are the result of tried and tested ideas, lessons and past experiments by our writers and guest writers. You’ll even pick up some cool stuff from interviews we conduct. We LOVE interviews.
Why Write About Online Real Estate?
Online real estate is an ever evolving branch of the massive real estate industry. Real estate sales and marketing thrived as an offline industry but has continuously stumbled in its attempt to redefine itself for the 21st century where the internet connects everything and everyone.
Learn from our mistakes. Teach others what you learned from your mistakes and help us build a better online real estate community.
Who Is Behind This Madness?
This place wouldn’t be much fun if it were run by a pack of robots. Well, maybe it would be if they were a pack of well-read Lucy Liu bots. Nay, instead you get puny earthlings, many of whom have fought beside you in the real estate trenches, who’ve figure this stuff out the hard way so you don’t have to.

Josh has been involved in real estate since early 2003 when he started with a traditional brand and promptly left for NewHomes.com, a virtual real estate brokerage, eight months later. After many requests to start listing properties, Josh joined Keller Williams Realty in Central Valley, NY where he soon listed a 274-home community by K. Hovnanian Homes and joined forces with Pulte Homes to market the final phase of a 154-home community in Newburgh, NY.
Today, Josh is the online lead strategies manager for Better Homes and Gardens Real Estate where, among other things, he teaches BHGRE brokers and agents how to use internet and mobile marketing/technology in their businesses.
Always gravitating towards the tech side of things, Josh blends real estate and technology on popular blogs like Geek Estate Blog, Real Estate Industry Watch and EricBramlett.com.
